ABOUT
“...I think we are a reflection of the world as it is and not as we want it to be – but we have to bridge that gap, make sure the world becomes more of what we want it to be.”
Hi, I'm Emily! Welcome to my page. I believe in a world of creativity and storytelling – filled with interpersonal understanding and collaboration. I graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in International Relations (focus: Anthropology), Public Relations (focus: Film) and Spanish to do just that. I am especially focused on doing this through fiction and non-fiction multimedia production and immersive technology.
I love — and have experience in — several types of visual and audio production and always look for new ways to innovate. These are skills I have employed as a senior creative producer at Paramount, and as a senior multimedia and video producer at the United Nations Foundation. In the past, I’ve worked on my own virtual reality documentary as a Fulbright Creative Arts grantee to Peru and Bolivia, as well as an associate specialist at the World Wildlife Fund where I produced written, video and photojournalism in the Pantanal. Before this, I worked as a video, communications and design specialist at the National Democratic Institute (NDI) where I created multimedia and social media campaigns to share stories of triumph and resilience around the world. Previously, I founded and hosted my own radio show through WERW Radio.
I probably watch Star Trek too often, but I can't help but be inspired by the diversity, optimism and resilience in each episode. Reading, writing music and poetry, being outside and traveling are my other loves. Enjoy my page and drop me a line!
